The privileged situation of the gulf of Saint-Tropez - both
through the natural shelter it can offer and through the winds and the sea
currents leading to that gulf the ships comming from the Eat - made of it
the ideal anchorage.
Sarazins and Muslims, Genovese pirates, Spanish or Lybian venturers, a lot
of invaders landed at Saint-Tropez, wich finaly entered the peacefull area
